Hello everybody, I have got some problems with the execution of tests when I use the new version of ooRexx. For me it seems to be that there is a bug which leads to an infinite loop. First of all I would like to give you an overview which versions I used when I tried to run the tests: Interpreter: REXX-ooRexx_4.0.0(MT) 6.03 15 Jun 2009 ooRexxUnit: 2.0.0_3.2.0 ooTest: 1.0.0_3.2.0 I installed it with the setup file ooRexx-4.0.0-4800.i386.exe. I am using Windows XP SP3 32 bit on a VMWare virtual machine to assure that there are no other applications which could cause the troubles. Furthermore I am using the newest version of ooRexxUnit I could find on SourceForge which is ooRexxUnit-4.0.0-snapshot03.zip. The first issue is that when I run testOORexx.rex it starts to search for the test containers but after some dots which are displayed on the screen (it does not stop at the same time every time) there are no further upcoming dots. If I supply some argument when I run it (i.e. one of the folders that contain some sample test groups) the output is the same and I do not get any results. It seems to be that it gets stuck because I can wait for hours and nothing changes. The second issue is that when I create a test group containing just one single test in a folder with only this one file (the test is assertEquals(1,1)). If there is not the same issue as described above and the test runs then I can see the test statistic which is correct but right under the statistic output one dot after another is printed. This also runs for hours until I stop it with Ctrl+C. To get rid of the problem I also tried to kill rxapi.exe but it does not matter whether I killed it or it is running for a while. I am sorry but I don't know how I could describe it better since I haven't found any possibility to get some debug or log output from ooRexxUnit. Thank you in advance for any hints which could solve the problem. Best regards, Michael Lex |
