Dear all, I'm working on the representation of measurements in radiology using OBO ontologies. In particular I use BFO, RO, UO, IAO, OBI and PATO. >From PATO I mainly use concepts under pato:size, especially those under 'pato:1-D extent' such as length, width or diameter. I found these concepts very useful, however I was wondering whether one could add more specific concpets under pato:diameter. For instance PATO already contains 'pato:anterior-posterior diameter', but could we also add the following: *'craniocaudal diameter'* A diameter that is along the craniocaudal axis. In humans this is the height of an anatomical entity. *'transversal diameter'* The longest extension in orthogonal direction to the anterior posterior diameter within the transverse plane. In humans this is the maximal width of an anatomical entity. *'longest diameter'* The longest diameter is the longest straight line where all points of the line are within the object. Definition source: http://www.recist.com/recist-in-practice/18.html *'short axis' or 'longest perpendicular diameter'* The short axis is the maximal extent of an object in orthogonal direction to the longest diameter.
