Hi Peter, There are no specific code examples for Sesame2 that am aware of. What is the problem you are having, are any errors being reported ? What is the URL for the SPARQL endpoint for access the Sesame data store ? Can you provide the OAT code for connecting for review ? Hi, I am new to oat..I am trying to make a pivot table with a tree beside it, basically like an excel. thus i can drag & drop the nodes from the tree to the table & vice versa. Do you know where can I can a sample of the code ? Or is it possible to guide me on the code. Thank You. |

Hello - If this is part of normal operation or has been covered already, I apologize for the repetition. I don't see anything in the OAT Tree component description that shows how to do this. Has anyone found a good way to preserve expand/collapse status of OAT Tree on the server so that when the tree is reloaded into a content div (like I do via ajax), I can load it in the state it was in previously instead of simply reinitializing it? Thank you for any help. - Joe |

Hi, Is there a way to either get a message or an event when a node on the tree is expanded? I tried attaching a click event to the li of the node but it doesn't work as desired. |

Hi Joe, sorry for late reply because of vacations of a few people here. could I see somewhere the page with drag&drop problem you described? Maybe I can give you some hints when I will be able to debug it myself. Hi Kingsley, finally, I managed to have it working with some simple queries, I was missing the Data Source URL setting. However, sometimes I get some errors like: SPARQL Processor error 08006. Check your query and try again. SPARQL Processor error 22023. Check your query and try again. 1. Is there a place where I can find more info about those error codes (such as 08006)? 2. Is the FILTER construct implemented? I tested with a expression like from the advanced editor, but it seems to be ignored: FILTER regex(str(?label), "cell cycle") . 3. Is there a clean way to stop a running query? I launched a query that frozen the browser and I could only see the small window saying "Please wait" AJAX call in progress. but the OK and Cancel buttons do not respond. 4. It seems that isparql also need to have access to the URL Data sources (I mean direct access to the RDF files) to work, and not only access to the virtuoso repository. Is that right? When I try to access to some graphs only residing within my virtuoso instance (those files are not available from the web via an URL), I get messages saying that the RDF file was not found... thanks, Erick Kingsley Idehen wrote: > Erick Antezana wrote: >> Kingsley, >> >> I have set the endpoint in http://crunch.fvms.ugent.be:8891/isparql/ >> to be the following: >> >> http://crunch.fvms.ugent.be:8891/sparql >> >> and launched the following query: >> >> BASE <http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/rdf/> >> PREFIX rdfs:<http://www.w3.org/2000/01/rdf-schema#> >> SELECT ?name ?CCO_id >> WHERE { >> GRAPH <CCO> { >> ?CCO_id rdfs:label ?name. >> } >> } >> >> but no results... >> >> I even tried this one: >> >> SELECT ?a >> WHERE { >> ?a ?b ?c. >> } >> >> or: >> http://crunch.fvms.ugent.be:8891/sparql?format=application%2Frdf%2Bxml&default-graph-uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cellcycleontology.org%2Fontology%2Frdf%2FCCO&query=%0ASELECT%20%3Fa%0AWHERE%20%7B%0A%20%3Fa%20%3Fb%20%3Fc.%0A%7D%0A >> >> >> but again no results. Hi Eric, > using the visual query builder. I was wondering where could I make some > changes so that I could begin some interface customization (e.g. Data > source (URL), default query, ) the isparql sources are located in the $oatdir/isparql/ files that are relevant for your customizations are qbe.js (contains code of the visual query builder, svg-sparql visualisation settings and the imported schemas tree) main.js (contains code for the 'advanced' querying text interface, menu callbacks and management of query graphs) io.js (contains input output routines for various file formats) execute.js (contains code for isparql query execution and results handling) Don't hesitate and drop me a mail in case you need more specific help with some parts of the code. I'm currently in process of rewriting/refactoring the isparql app, so I'm quite familiar with it. > Can I avoid the login window (Username:demo, etc, etc)? I guess that > window is for the users having some more privileges to change/update the > data right? This windows prompts for WebDav access credentials. Unfortunately, there is no option for disabling it at the moment, it can be currently disabled only by modifying the sources. > When I try to import a new schema > (http://www.semantic-systems-biology.org/SSB#) I got the following message: > HT404 Error Resource "http://www.semantic-systems-biology.org/SSB#" not > found > any hints? When I try to open this URL directly in the browser, I also get a 404, so the sparql endpoint just echoes this. > On the other hand, when I try to browse some RDF files from: > http://crunch.fvms.ugent.be:8891/DAV/JS/rdfbrowser/index.html > ftp://ftp.psb.ugent.be/pub/ssb/cco_A_thaliana.rdf > http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/rdf/cco_H_sapiens.rdf In the first case, the sponger really returns a RDF containing no triples, so this is a question for Virtuoso people. In the latter case, sponger is (IIRC) not capable of querying ftp resources, so rdfbrowser doesn't even perform any action. In this case, it should emit at least some notice about this fact to warn the user. Hope this answers your questions. Have a nice day. Balazs |

Hi, I have tested the OAT demo I have just downloaded and installed the OAT VAD (http://vads.s3.amazonaws.com/oat_dav.vad) so that our virtuoso instances (http://crunch.fvms.ugent.be:8891/isparql/) could be queried using the visual query builder. I was wondering where could I make some changes so that I could begin some interface customization (e.g. Data source (URL), default query, ) Can I avoid the login window (Username:demo, etc, etc)? I guess that window is for the users having some more privileges to change/update the data right? When I try to import a new schema (http://www.semantic-systems-biology.org/SSB#) I got the following message: HT404 Error Resource "http://www.semantic-systems-biology.org/SSB#" not found any hints? On the other hand, when I try to browse some RDF files from: http://crunch.fvms.ugent.be:8891/DAV/JS/rdfbrowser/index.html like for instance: ftp://ftp.psb.ugent.be/pub/ssb/cco_A_thaliana.rdf or http://www.cellcycleontology.org/ontology/rdf/cco_H_sapiens.rdf I get: TOTAL: 0 triples Am I missing something? thanks, Erick -- ================================================================== Erick Antezana http://www.cellcycleontology.org PhD student Tel:+32 (0)9 331 38 24 fax:+32 (0)9 3313809 VIB Department of Plant Systems Biology, Ghent University Technologiepark 927, 9052 Gent, BELGIUM er...@ps... http://www.psb.ugent.be/~erant ================================================================== |

Hello - I'm using some OAT javascript to drag leaf nodes from an OAT, ghostdrag-enabled tree structure to a div that contains a fairly standard html table. An ajax call (also OAT) on the node drop into the table causes a row to be added to the object list on the server, and the table to be rerendered - pretty simple, but slick. The div element that wraps the table is set for "overflow:auto" since several of the tables we intend to display are too large for the area on the page we've allotted. The overflow works fine, and so does the drag and drop and ajax callback to rerender the table, until you slide the div's vertical scrollbar down far enough to hide all the rows at the top of the table that were initially visible when the table loaded the first time. Then, with the bottom rows of the table exposed, I can't drop anything on the table. Its as if the drop target div has scrolled up and away and is no longer available to drop onto. I've played with this enough to see that this is exactly what appears to be happening. I'm using Firefox 2. I can't try this on IE yet because I have another issue there - I'll have to solve that later. For now, I'd like to know if anyone has seen this before and if there's a recommended solution. I believe the last version of OAT I downloaded is version 2.8. Thank you all for any help. - Joe |

I checked and on my system and am able to see the difference in grid performance between IE and other browsers using the sample grid in OAT's demo. The most noticeable difference in in the hover of grid rows. I believe the performace gets worse as more records are added and the data is more complex. In the grid where I noticed the problem there were 150 + rows and 3 of the 5 columns had two divs to produce a two line entry. Thanks for taking a look at this. Hi David, Is this performance issue observed when using the grid sample provided with the OAT package we provide ? If you can provide a link and ideally sample code so we can create locally, then we can look into this ? Hi, I've found the grid element makes IE perform poorly. The same grid in FireFox or Safari works great! Can you suggest how I might improve grid performance in IE. If you want I can provide a link off line for you to see. Thanks. |

Hi David, There is currently no way how to restore the state of a tree's checked nodes for example from saved json object. You have to use OAT.TreeNode::expand() and OAT.TreeNode::collapse() for each node you want to change state of. Hi, The slidebar emits an opened message on open and close. slidebar.js line 105 OAT.MSG.send (self, OAT.MSG.SLB_OPENED, self) should be OAT.MSG.send (self, OAT.MSG.SLB_CLOSED, self) Thanks, |
