Hello, A research group here is developing a new braille display and are looking for suggestions on the following for the driver for their braille display: 1. Is there a driver standard that they should implement (or a universal driver that is recommended for use by all braille displays)? 2. Are there NVDA specific considerations while implementing the driver for this display (or they can just develop to a standard and it’ll just work)? 3. Is there some kind of a driver sdk in NVDA like the one for other screen readers like jaws that one needs to use to ensure compatibility with NVDA? The team is looking to create cross platform support across windows, Linux, OSX, and android over USB and Bluetooth for the display. Will appreciate pointers to any resources/forums where I can get more information on how best to develop and test the drivers for a new braille display. Regards, Manish |
