I already made the patches to disable the media bay and the IDE controller for the PB 500 PPC but unfortunately something is wrong so that the kernel does not boot when I pretend my PB 1400 to be a PB 500 PPC via "Wish I were...". Today I did not have the time to solve this problem but I hope to be able to finish the patches tomorrow. Unfortunatly I don't know if that driver works on the 040 PB500. And I don't have the 040 processor anymore I will be more than happy to test anything you think necessary to make this machine work.
