Is there a way to turn off the tab delineator? I'm talking about the dotted lines that mark the places where tabs are even when tabs have been converted to spaces.

Hello Alex,
Very easy : choose Menu View, option Show Symbol and sub-option Show Indent Guide.
As for me, I usually prefer these marks that make text, of structured languages, more readable :-)

(I agree with your structured languages comment by the way... but sometimes I use notepad++ for other things!)
