What plugin are you using for this purpose?
If using FingerText, the snippets are stored in a SQLite3 database file $(NPP_PLUGINCONFIGDIRECTORY)\FingerText\FingerText.db3 .
You can always bacck this file up.
If using a different plugin, please mention it.
Is the former file gone, and what could have happened to it?

thanks for the response. i am using a plugin called snippets. but, i looked for something with an .sqlite ending and found the correct database. then copied it, and now i feel a lot safer.
as far as what i did to lose my last one, i don't remember.

not too long ago, all of my snippets disappeared, and i had to start from scratch.
now I have set up new ones and would like to save them somewhere.
