Leaving Appletalk aside: an interface is an interface is an interface. Although afpd indeed has to perform some magic in order to determine the servername and hostname to _advertise_ via DSI GetStatus and FPGetSrvInfo (which is mostly ignored my OS X clients), afpd by default listens on 0.0.0.0:548 for any incoming TCP connection. Whether the interface this connection is coming in is a trunk or made of cheese is not relevant. |
