Category: python Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None >Priority: 9 Private: No Submitted By: Diego Billi (dbilli) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: [python bindings] SNMPv3 segfault. Wrong initializer used! Initial Comment: The "netsnmp_create_session_v3" function (inside client_intf.c) doesn't intialize the *session pointer properly. This causes a segmentation fault on GET/WALK operations. Tested with: - NET-SNMP: 5.5 (tar.gz) , SVN version (revision 17933) - OS version: Ubuntu / Kernel 2.6.24-23-generic #1 SMP Wed Apr 1 21:47:28 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux Example: import netsnmp var = netsnmp.Varbind('.1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0) t = netsnmp.snmpget(var ,DestHost=HOST ,Community=COMMUNITY ,Version=3 ,UseNumeric=1 ,Timeout=int(0.5 * SNMP_ONE_SECOND) ,Retries=RETRIES ,SecLevel='authNoPriv' ,SecName='foo' ,AuthProto='MD5' ,AuthPass='00112233445566778899aabbccddeeff ' ) Attachment: 1 (patch file) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Diego Billi (dbilli) Date: 2009-12-22 15:46 Message: I set the priority to 9 (highest) because the bug compromises the SNMP v3 support. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=112694&aid=2919379&group_id=12694 |
