environment: - Windows XP SP2 - VC 6 SP6 - Platform SDK 2003 February The agent I compiled does not respond to an snmpwalk: [root@x58 ~]# snmpwalk -v 2c -c public 192.168.0.124 system Timeout: No Response from 192.168.0.124 I can ping the machine where the agent is running, so a network connection to that machine is available. The service for snmpd and snmptrapd are both registered and running. A snmpd.conf file is stored in E:\net-snmp-5.4.2.1\win32\etc\snmp where the agent reads it (verified). Compilation options for the agent: 1. OpenSSL support: disabled 2. Platform SDK support: enabled 3. Install path: E:/net-snmp-5.4.2.1/win32 4. Install after build: enabled 5. Perl modules: disabled 6. Install perl modules: disabled 7. Quiet build (logged): enabled 8. Debug mode: disabled 9. IPv6 transports (requires SDK): disabled 10. winExtDLL agent (requires SDK): disabled 11. Link type: static 12. Install development files disabled The agent was installed after successful build. Registry entries and service settings were modified according to teh readme to ensure the MS SNMP agent does not interfere with the net-snmp agent. What am I missing to make the agent work? I'm looking forward to heatring from you soon. Yours, Robert ************************************************* Robert Pletscher mail to: Rob...@ya... |
