I've just noticed that if I start nedit with acommand
line option (e.g. nedit -autowrap) and
then do a Preferences->Save Defaults, autowrap
becomes my new default setting.

Surely the command line option shouldn't be allowed
to overwrite my usual default - I use
the command line to specify something different
from normal! My feeling is that the command
line option should behave like selecting
Preferences->Wrap->Auto Newline i.e. only change
my current session.

I realise that this is to do with the way that
Nedit handles preferences read from the command
line - they are written to the preferences database
as if they had been read from the nedit.rc
file.

    Should be changed during a general makeover of the settings
    system.
