The hardware platform is a Sony Vaio PCG-FX190K. I had no known problems building and installing ndiswapper. I have tried loading both the bcmnwl5.sys and bcmwl5a.sys WinXP drivers; each has problems querying the card. The error message I get in dmesg is: ndiswrapper version 0.8 loaded ndiswrapper adding bcmwl5.sys PCI: Enabling device 0000:02:00.0 (0000 -> 0002) PCI: No IRQ known for interrupt pin A of device 0000:02:00.0. PCI: Setting latency timer of device 0000:02:00.0 to 64 ndiswrapper: Windows driver couldn't initialize the device bcmwl5.sys: probe of 0000:02:00.0 failed with error -22 It should also be pointed out that the kernel is called with the option "pci=biosirq" in place. Any ideas about solutions, known problems, or further debugging? Thanks. |
