Some more data, hopefully relevant (how I wish I could provide more 
intelligent help!).

The pci settings seem quite different for this card under driverloader 
(working) and ndiswrapper (not working):

driverloader:
Latency: 168 (8000ns min, 16000ns max), Cache Line Size: 0x08 (32 bytes)

ndiswrapper:
Latency: 64 (8000ns min, 16000ns max)

I did try to set the things with setpci, but this did not help. So it 
might not be a relevant difference.
