Hi, I'm a french new user of NDisWrapper for a Wifi dongle... (sis163u if i've good memory..) I've tried to install this dongle under my Debian Sid (unstable). I've download on sf.net ndiswrapper 1.18 sources. I've tried to compile them, but the build crash because I've used gcc-3.3 (it's defaut version on my debian...) instead 3.4... I've installed gcc-3.4, and the build was ok, but I have a kernel image built by gcc-3.3... I've ran 'make install' --> no problems Next, as root, i've try : ndiswrapper -i sis163u.inf ndiswrapper -m (no errors) ndiswrapper -l Installed ndis drivers: sis163u driver present, hardware present All things appeared to be ok.... but, I can't load ndiswrapper : modprobe ndiswrapper ndiswrapper : version magic '2.6.8-2-686 preempt 686 gcc-3.4' should be '2.6.8-2-686 preeempt 686 gcc-3.3' FATAL : Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.8-686/misc/ndiswrapper.ko) : Invalid module format Do you think compile my Kernel with gcc-3.4 may be enougth, and it can't cause any other problems ?? Thanks, Ludolpif |
