Hi, i have a truemobile 1300 on my inspirion 8500 laptop that i am using together with wpa_supplicant, and wpa encryption. Everything is running jus= t fine, seriously, until i stop using it. Maybe i go for dinner, or to sleep, and when i come back my computer is _totally_ screwed (*1). HOWEVER (!!) if i let a "ping <hostname>" on over the night, this problem goes away. I have tried this over and over, so I'm sure that a ping solves it, and EVERY time i don't do this, i HAVE to turn of my computer (holding the power-off button). I have also tried to patch my kernel with 16k stack, but nothing happened. I blamed NFS for a while, but it wasn't that either. I am using ndiswrapper 1.5 (and wpa_supplicant 0.4.7) -- the latest on my gentoo box. (*1) By this i mean that when i run a command nothing happens. Like, i go t= o console X, login, and the write "ls", and nothing happens. I try to reboot (CTRL+ALT+DEL), and it writes some few things, but then goes to sleep again= . /D |
