SOLUTION FOUND (I believe): 1/ I did uncompress the .cab files on the cd set with "unshield" command 2/ I did search all ".inf" files containing the UID "124a:4025" : find /way_to_uncompressed_files/ -iname "*.inf" -exec grep -il=20 "124a:4025" {} ; 3/ Did install the files found. IT WORKS : "dmesg" returns : usb.c: deregistering driver ndiswrapper ndiswrapper version 1.1rc1 loaded (preempt=3Dno,smp=3Dno) usb.c: registered new driver ndiswrapper ndiswrapper: driver awusga02 (WLAN-G,06/10/2004, 3.00.18.0002) loaded wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device 00:0a:e9:0e:db:9f using driver=20 awusga02, configuration file 124A:4025.0.conf "iwconfig" returns : wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:off/any=20 Mode:Managed Frequency:2.462 GHz Access Point:=20 00:00:00:00:00:00 =20 Bit Rate:2 Mb/s Tx-Power:32 dBm =20 RTS thr:2347 B Fragment thr:2346 B =20 Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:100 Signal level:0 Noise level:0 Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:2 Missed beacon:0 I just suppose I did not edit properly the /etc/network/interfaces file.
