Just joined this list.. I have debian-amd64 running on my compaq Athlon64 laptop (the broadcom wireless device worked fine with ndiswrapper running on i386 debian). I have recently downloaded the windows xp 64bit trial version, but am waiting for the product key so I can install it (microsoft didn't email it to me as they were supposed to). When I have installed it (hopefully in the next few days.. microsoft support have been reasonably quick so far in dealing with my enquiry), hopefully it will find the wireless device and install the drivers without any problems. I can then distribute these 64bit drivers to any developer to test a 64bit ndiswrapper binary. It seems from the little look that I've had that there is some 32bit assembly code in the ndiswrapper source. Its been a long time since I did any assembly code writing but I'm willing to have a go if none of the developers wish to concentrate on getting it 64bit ready at the moment and if someone can point me to any assembly reference material. bren > From: Georg Schild <dangertools@gm...> > Re: Aboute ndiswrapper on Gentoo x86_64 > 2004-12-08 04:31 > As you could have read already on the FAQ on ndiswrapper.sf.net there > are some problems with getting the wrapper running on 64bit.
