Just installed ndiswrapper (Gentoo), and the module loads fine. Went to install the driver for the Netgear WG511T, but its drivers are in an .exe file. Ark couldn't understand that it's a zip file, so I had to install the driver in a Win2k VMware guest. Rooted around in \winnt\inf for the newest file, and it's mdc8021x.inf, and I found mdc8021x.sys in drivers. Put these in a Linux directory and ndiswrapper -i mdc8021x.inf . Seemed to load fine, but ndiswrapper -l says: Installed ndis drivers: mdc8021x invalid driver! In /etc/ndiswrapper/mdc8021x is only the mdc8021x.inf file. Any idea what's wrong? Also, I read in the Wiki that ndiswrapper does not support Master mode? Is this still true, and if so, is Master mode close? I can't use it without Master. |
