Hi, When I use the WinXP or Win2000 Realtek drivers with ndiswrapper 0.9 - on a 2.4.26 kernel and a 300Mhz machine - I can load the .inf file fine. However, when I try to modprobe ndiswrapper, I get this from dmesg: ndiswrapper version 0.9 loaded ndiswrapper: driver rtl8180.sys added PCI: Setting latency timer of device 01:00.0 to 64 __alloc_pages: 0-order allocation failed (gfp=0x21/0) ndiswrapper (NdisMAllocateSharedMemory:970): Failed to allocate DMA coherent memory. Windows driver requested 2042 bytes of cached memory ndiswrapper (NdisWriteErrorLogEntry:170): log: C0001389, length: 1 (00000402) ndiswrapper (ndis_init_one:1299): Windows driver couldn't initialize the device I've got no idea what's gone wrong, so does anyone have any ideas? The card is in a PCMCIA slot, and the 300Mhz handled the Realtek drivers fine - but of course once I upgraded the kernel, I needed to use ndiswrapper.
