summary:     Further cleanup of the timeout management for writer & co. Not sure, if we do not want a finite timeout, but the current version is simply a cleanup of the version causing troubles.

summary:     Fix deallocation bug. Previously, FreeInterpData() deallocated itPtr and was called before DeleteInterps(). The latter function accesses members of itPtr, reading invalid values.
