Hello, I am looking at various monitoring aspects of VMware ESXi servers. I am using some of the Perl scripts provided by the SDK which, basically, connects to the Web Services interface of the ESXi to get various information. My monitoring script is a simple sh script which calls a Perl SDK script with the proper parameters then does a few "echo" / "awk" calls to format the output properly so that Munin understands it. The munin scripts gets and graphs the value properly. But the graphs are stored in the munin server "graph_category" section. The Munin Web page is generated as follow: * localdomain * localhost.localdomain [ disk esxi exim munin network processes system ] My graphs appear in the "esxi" category (which is the graph_category defined in my script). Is there a way to have such "remote" polls appear in a dedicated server section, like snmp scripts do ? I would like to achieve something like: * localdomain * localhost.localdomain [ disk exim munin network processes system ] * esxi1.localdomain [ disk network system ] * esxi2.localdomain [ disk network system ] TIA, Jo PS: I have tried renaming my script with "snmp__service" but it doesn't seem to work. |
