Hmm, this turns out to be a bit of a pain, because of the way we use
'include' in the code.

The first step would be to insert the following bit of code in
functions.inc, just before the "function toTimeString" line (roughly
line 215):

require_once "$dbsys.inc";
require_once "mrbs_auth.inc";

if (getAuthorised(1) < 1)
{
  echo "you must be logged in";
  exit;
}

You then need to replace any occurrence of

include "$dbsys.inc";

with

require_once "$dbsys.inc";

and any occurrence of:

include "mrbs_auth.inc";

with

require_once "mrbs_auth.inc";
