[MRBS-general] Mixed-mode authentication?

I am updating an existing MRBS install and saw some of the changes in 
authentication structure. 

Under the new setup, access to MRBS will be protected by Apache 
directives, so I am not looking to implement level one user auth other 
than via IP address range perhaps (I have that working).  I would, 
however, like to auth level 2 administrator access with id/password (in 
config initially, perhaps mysql/LDAP later on).

Is there any way to mix both anonymous and nonymous (word?) access in 
config.inc.php?

Generally-speaking, if there is a way to turn auth off for level 1 
access, that would be swell.
