As it stands the csv is in the following format: start time, end time, start date, week pattern, room_name, create_by, name, description The time fields will need tweaking as my script includes converting from times to periods (using our timetabe hardcoded, changing this is on my todo list) Week pattern is a way in which our timetables keep track of holidays etc ( a typical one is "1111111 1111111 11111 111111 11111 111111") it is simply a list of boolean fields for if the session runs that week The rest should be ronseal I'm not quite sure what you mean by a different style of timetable Thanks for the input, Mike ________________________________ From: Chris Cook <cc...@rb...> To: General purpose list (support/developers/users) <mrb...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, 13 January, 2009 11:12:15 AM Subject: Re: [MRBS-general] How to share my work on mrbs? The csv import feature sounds useful for me. What layout (column order, etc) do you use for the csv file? How flexible is it if I want to use a different style of timetable? OK, if I explain my main mods here then we can get an idea of the levels of interest. * When editing a booking only the room it is currently in and rooms free that period are given as options- it's only going to give an error on the next screen anyway * A force-book option, allows a building manager or similar to book a room even if it is already in use; any existing bookings are moved to the next best room * Personal timetable feature- amalgamates all the bookings for a particular person onto one page for easy viewing * Import feature- allows a full college timetable to be imported from a csv file. Could be useful anywhere that mrbs is used for changing/adding to an existing timetable rather than purely making new bookings These are the main (non-moodle) ones I can think of for now; would people find any of these useful?
