Change if (FD_ISSET(sh->tcp->fd, &ready)) { socket_t *client = socket_accept(sh->tcp); handle_client(client); continue; } to if (FD_ISSET(sh->tcp->fd, &ready)) { socket_t *client = socket_accept(sh->tcp); wpthread_mutex_unlock(&sh->mutex); handle_client(client); continue; } This allows more than 1 client at a time :-) |

This may be a better way to deal with cache locking. I still need to look at it in more detail, though. mike -- Michael Wolf http://www.netspace.net.au/~mwolf/pgp.txt F433 5BBB CDA1 AAB3 0EE8 8A25 CBAC B8A3 372A BCDF |

Hi, In a message you posted (http://www.mail-archive.com/deb...@li.../msg04623.html) to the debian-isp mailing list, I saw you mentioned moodns. I'm one of the moodns developers, and I haven't made any sort of public announcement, so it was a bit of a shock seeing mention of it. (It was also weird seeing a link to moodns the maradns page site.) One thing you mentioned was that maradns' zonefile format is (or at least was when you'd last looked at it) "dumber [...] than djbdns". moodns is using the tinydns-data format, at least for now. I'm curious what you find wrong with it - is it just that it's not what bind uses which makes a transition somewhat difficult, or is there more to it than that? I ask because I respect your opinion; I remember your insightful posts to the luv lists[0]. If it means more people would use moodns, I'd be willing to teach moodns to read bind-style zonefiles, although that's not a priority yet. Possibly better than that would be a new format, but it would need to be a real improvement; a small incremental step probably wouldn't mean much. Of course suggestions are welcome. moodns is progressing, more slowly than I'd like, so it's not worth your time to download it yet. I hope that statement won't hold for much longer. :) mike [0] Where'd you go, anyway? Tired of all the malformatted emails and general lameness? -- Michael Wolf http://www.netspace.net.au/~mwolf/pgp.txt F433 5BBB CDA1 AAB3 0EE8 8A25 CBAC B8A3 372A BCDF |

Why would it be difficult at all? Although I think what we really should do is build all possible database drives into loadable modules. Then use libtdl to load them. I've written a module system before, for Lithium. Could probably reuse. How difficult is it, from an autoconf perspective, to support different databases? Ie, I'd like to be able to do ./configure --with-db4 or ./configure --with-cdb mike -- Michael Wolf http://www.netspace.net.au/~mwolf/pgp.txt F433 5BBB CDA1 AAB3 0EE8 8A25 CBAC B8A3 372A BCDF |
