I did check into the viability of this, and it seems do-able since there is a fairly prominent page on the swig site about swig for Windows. However, there are other tasks to be done prior to this, and I will document them soon on the mltframework.org WindowsBuild page. I don't suppose you and any Kdenlive devs would be open to ditching the current efforts and combine efforts on a new cross-platform Qt editor? Personally, neither GTK+ on Windows & OS X or KDE on Windows & OS X is very appealing - GTK+ for how poorly it suits the platform and KDE for its extra dependencies and platform biases.
