If so, I think your shell is introducing line breaks in command substitution whereas mine does not. For example, what does your shell give when you run: $ echo "#`mlt-config --libs`#" #-L/home/ddennedy/lib -lmlt# $ > make version: make-3.81 using 3.81beta4 on the system I just tested on -- +-DRD-+ |
