Sorry - had missed this mail until now... As discussed in #irc, I suspect the issue is related to the known problems with dv avi files. Raw DV is definitely best.. and for the record, I haven't attempted using NTSC footage in it at all (I know the timecode display and default resolution won't suit NTSC at all...). For minimum spec - I'm not sure - I haven't tested it recently on a system less than a p4 2gighz, but early development was carried out on a p3 450 (though I was typically using the low quality divx/mjpwg/mpeg [the latter via the mainconcept codecs] rather than dv at that point). I'd hazard a rough guess of something upward of a p4 1.2gighz would probably be ok for comfortable usage with dv... Cheers, Charlie |
