However, this was written in 2004 for a commercial project under contract and tight deadline with specific requirements and assumptions in mind. So, we assumed MMX. Since then, Charlie used this with Jahshaka and appears to have run into a problem supporting non-mmx arch, and committed the "Horrible hack" instead of fixing it. Does filter_avdeinterlace build OK on PPC? That is the fallback, and it should be nearly as good as anything (in particular, linearblend) from xine. If I put effort into anything related to deinterlace, it will be something new and better as opposed to getting xine to build on ppc. |
