I've made some headway. I found the IBM TTS runtime and SDK. The SDK has the replacement routines for Outloud, though it looks largely like a name change more than anything. I was able to find the vvo_speak code at http://dittos.yi.org/automation/ which is a different location from that quoted in mh.ini. Installed the vvo_speak RPM and that works standalone, but am getting an "vvo_speak: ERROR: eciAddText (speak_text) error." when MH sends it data. I'm trying to track down that problem in the source.
