Hmm it's like this: switching my 2 lamp and one applliance modules on/off works without a problem and without an error. But when I use my RF keypad the serial data and X10 data errors show up. And when it receives these errors I get the checksum error in between (but just now and then.) SerialPorts is not using handshake I think because of a few ioctl calls that are not there in FreeBSD. I cannot find them in any of the .h files. So I think there is a problem getting this to work ;-( $incount = &SerialJunk::TIOCINQ; $outcount = &SerialJunk::TIOCOUTQ; $txdone = &SerialJunk::TIOCSERGETLSR; These 3 are missing in the FreeBSD io stuff.
