Hi Bill, Thanks for responding. What I'd like to do is to not use the DTR line. Before I start MH the DTR line is at -12 volts and the Basic stamp is happy. (transmitting serial data and blinking an LED for testing.) After I start MH the DTR line goes to +12 volts and the Basic Stamp will no longer transmit serial data. I've tested this using just a 3-wire system (Tx, Rx and ground) and all is OK. I would just like to keep the same interface setup for both downloading to the stamp via its editor and use MH to get any data from the stamp without having to break the DTR line.
