What are your thoughts on this? An official, modern web interface would definitely be nice. Personally, I envision a web interface that runs on top of Apache instead of the current internal web server. Sure, some people will still need the current simplistic web interface (becauseof running on small embedded device, etc.) but we can still support the old web interface in addition to a new, full-blown web interface that uses PHP or whatever makes sense. Something like mythweb (the web interface to MythTV) would be great for MisterHouse. Of course, as far as I know, development of any of this has not even begun so a new stable release would be made without any improvements on this front. > I really would like to see the new Insteon code be included in the > stable release. Call me a marketroid but I think it'd be nice that when Gregg's new INSTEON code (which I am using, by the way) is ready (whenever that is), we put out a MisterHouse 3.0 stable release. After all, that is a big project (currently undertaken only by Gregg) and I am sure that'd make big splash news and bring in a good number of new MisterHouse users. Cheers, Eloy Paris.- |
