It's got a 10" screen and a dual core processor and runs android 2.2. So far it seems to run fine, though all I've done is a little browsing and installed "Angry Birds", which is a great time waster. I think if all you want to do is use the browser/ebook reader and play some games, the nook may be adequate. I suspect the simpler tablets have substantially better battery life than some of the higher powered ones, though this is just conjecture, as it's possible the simpler ones cheaped out on the battery.
