Hello, I am currently planning my entry into the 1-wire world (I know, this technology seems so cool that I think I have been missing out) and the first important decision I am faced with is that of what 1-wire master interface to use. I'd like to go with an USB interface and am currently trying to decide between iButtonLink's offering (the LinkUSB), and Maxim's offering (the DS9490R). I don't know about the DS9490R, but the LinkUSB seems to be an FTDI USB to serial adapter on the inside which works well with Linux, so I am leaning towards the LinkUSB. Both are basically the same price so cost is not a decision factor. I am more concerned about support, features and reliability. Anyone has any experiences or advice to share regarding these two interfaces? Thanks in advance! Cheers, Eloy Paris.- |
