I'm using the 2 port Byterunner USB-2COM-M on the SLUG, and a 4 port USB2-4COM-M on my MisterHouse box (a C3 based PC with Ubuntu 6.08). Both use the FTDI chipset and in both cases the serial ports were recognized on bootup and have worked as expected. I haven't found a use for the second serial port on the SLUG yet, but I'll bet something will come up. On the website, I did not see any Linux support mentioned. I am hoping to set up a Linux testbed soon, and before I try to get down and dirty with the Linksys SLU2, I thought it would make sense to try this out with a full-function PC, and then start to play with the SLUG. Thanks in advance, > > Carl Friedberg > ca...@co... > |
