One thing to keep in mind is that the weather radios usually do not give you much granularity in terms of alerts that you care/don't care about. For example I live in Illinois and get the same sort of weather you do. I want to know about tornadoes, but not about flooding. My weather radio will not distinguish between the two alerts, so in the spring when both tornadoes and flooding occurs it just becomes an annoyance. - Yang -----Original Message----- From: mis...@li... It gives you multiple ways to get alert and other weather information, both over the internet and via. other routes such as radio, e-mail and paging.
