whew. Im pretty excited! After a good solid 4-5 hours I finally got my test X10 appliance module working and am receiving palmpad x10 data. (I even turned on an Insteon switchlinc.. shhh. dont tell anyone ;) ) Most of that time was re-understanding how MH treats serial objects (again) Now that my poc is finished I am still trying to think of how this should be used in MH. My inclination is to use it just like the UPB PIM as a seperate interface all to its own (not integrated into the slipstream X10 pipeline in MH). If I continue on this path though you will need to "assign" X10_Items and Insteon_Items, etc to the PLM. This is pretty necessary when UPB and Insteon arent anything like X10, however, for X10 this could be more "integrated". Im going to look at the X10_Item object a little more closely and see what can be done. I must say this PLM is a heck of a lot nicer to deal with than the PLC. Hopefully Ill have this worked out and have some code to share mid-end of this week. -J |
