Hi, I'm working on my Misterhouse setup and decited to go ahead and buy the alarmsystem that has been on my whislist for years now. I wanted to buy a NX8e but after looking on the net I bought a DSC Power 832 with the bi-directional insterface. It's not in yet but, I have a question about the zones. Can you see the status of NULL Zones? What I want to do is also use the system as cheap digital I/O. I want to connect the doorbell button to a zone input and the doorbel ringer itself to a PGM output on the DSC. This way I can trigger Misterhouse if someone pushes the button. I've been looking around in the DSC software but I can not find anything about zones that are just for supervising and not trigger any alarm. I know the DSC has a doorbell function that can be activated per zone. And extra ringers can be added on the PGM outputs but, can the PGM outputs be controlled from Misterhouse? If they can, I would have control over the ringer itself and be able to switch it of in sleeping mode for instance. Thanks, Timo |
