The current first bit of text is: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"> <html> <head> <title>Shopping List</title> <style ... This refers to the HTML 4.01 strict DTD. Of course, most installations will have the shopping_list.pl page within a parent frameset. Only my page will currently validate as HTML 4.01 strict. I definitely don't want to try to tackle the job trying to make all MH generated pages validate to any standard :-). Although it would be nice, it would be a crazy undertaking. The best thing that I think we can do is to encourage people to follow the 4.01 standard as closely as possible whenever they add new functionality or patch existing code. For those that are interested, I use XHTML myself whenever possible. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how some of our older clients (like Audrey) would react to XHTML. I think that HTML 4.01 is a good middle ground. Matt __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
