<snip> Greg / Ake, Thanks for all your comments on this. The hardware from Total Telematics meets my requirements for simple I/O. http://total-telematics.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_3&products_id=29 The actual application I have in mind is really simple - I want to pigggy back onto an existing domestic burglar alarm (through some opto-isolators) to take inputs from the PIR motion detectors to trigger timers in Misterhouse for lighting based on occupancy etc. I've had a look at the VSCP website wiki. The linux setup instructions seem to be work in progress, so before buying the kit I'm keen to understand what would be involved in getting simple I/O working in conjuction with Misterhouse (once the next version of MH with xAP support is available).I'm guessing I may need the canal daemon running on my MH box, but not sure what else. Do the single board computers support VSCP out of the box, or do they need much configuration? Many thanks, Luke. www.thecorkills.co.uk |
