This has a WiFi and a VGA screen but unfortunately a fair bit of real-estate is lost top and bottom with explorer. Still it is cool to sit on the john and turn the light off & on :). > I'm also looking at buying my wife a PDA with 1/4 VGA and WiFi. > > MH on a restricted VGA screen is a bit of a pane with the panes, trying to select MP3's etc is rather difficult. Yes, frames are an unbelievable pain on almost any browser and the IA5 jukebox has a bunch of them. I have a standards-based Web interface that should work on any device, but it won't be in the next release (maybe the one after that.) The best news about it is that it doesn't use frames, but unfortunately that required some updates to http_server.pm. If anyone out there wants to help me test it, let me know. I am sure that IE/Mozilla/Opera users would love it at this point, but I want to make sure everything works on Audrey and other odd devices. Ultimately, the practice of checking the user agent string from the browser should be deprecated. One size can definitely fit all... > > At this stage I don't have any XML experience so I'm hoping somebody else out there may have some screen already designed for PDA's. > How about the Audrey screens, will these work? > > How do I select a Audrey/PDA screen as opposed to using explorer on my PC. > > On my PC's I have the home page set to http://ha-server:8080/ia5/ Set your home page on the PDA to something else (eg mh4, ia3, etc.) I don't think you will be happy with any of them though. IA5 is the best one at the moment, despite the frames. > > Regards, > > Neil Wrightson. > > |
