The "unmatched incoming data_chunk" reflects an inability of the (presumably RF receiver) parser to match received data with expected patterns. In virtually all cases where I've seen this occur, there was marginal signal strength between the transmitter (presumably, a motion detector like a MS13A?) and the receiver. For example, if you happen to have aluminum siding, then use of wireless detectors outside can be quite challenging (assuming your receiver/antenna is inside). If the received signal is marginal, then moving objects (like people) can sometimes be enough to further lower received signal and distort the interpreted data. Also, some receiving devices do a poorer job than others. Searching the archives will suggest various individuals' experiences w/ RF receivers. Lastly, other sources of RF interference can be a culprit for localized problems. I once had a leaky RF pre-amp that created such a problem. If you consistently get the unmatched incoming data_chunks for only one (or few) of your detectors, then try moving the detector and/or receiver. If you get this a lot, then try turning off possible sources of interference or possibly upgrading to a better receiver/antenna. hth Gregg > > 08/17/05 06:09:32 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data=XM3 > 08/17/05 06:09:33 PM XM3MJ: KitchenMovement motion > 08/17/05 06:10:00 PM: Saving object states ... done > 08/17/05 06:10:10 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data=XF1 > 08/17/05 06:10:13 PM XF1FK: HouseMovement still > 08/17/05 06:16:11 PM XF3: allinsidemacro manual > 08/17/05 06:16:18 PM XF3: allinsidemacro manual > 08/17/05 06:16:20 PM XF3FK: allinsidemacro off > 08/17/05 06:16:25 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data=XM1 > 08/17/05 06:16:26 PM XM1MK: BasementMovement still > 08/17/05 06:16:28 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-10 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:33 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-15 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:36 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-15 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:38 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-15 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:40 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-25 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:42 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-15 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:47 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM1F-15M5 (M 1) > 08/17/05 06:16:47 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data_chunk=XM5 (M 5) > 08/17/05 06:16:48 PM X10: Unmatched incoming data=XMK > > thanks > > > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO > September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices > Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA > Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf > ________________________________________________________ > To unsubscribe from this list, go to: http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=1365 > > |
