The timing issue is because you are not using a directly connected X10 receiver on your PC. You will have more success if you install an X10 MR26, or any other similar device. I have a BX24-AHT, but they are not available anymore. Rumors for a new version but don't know when they'll be ready. Having such device, will also allow you to have a remote control for a jukebox.
