one additional note that might help. If I connect from an IP address that is not I the password_allow_client config_parms, I am able to successfully log in as 'admin'. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Timothy Spaulding" <spaulding@ICanBrew.com> To: <mis...@li...> Sent: Monday, April 19, 2004 6:46 AM Subject: RE: [misterhouse-users] Code_select.pl and authorization When I try this, I always get "loged in as family", no matter what. I do have a password set for both family and admin. -----Original Message----- From: mis...@li... [mailto:mis...@li...] On Behalf Of Bruce Winter Sent: Sunday, April 18, 2004 3:12 PM To: mis...@li... Subject: RE: [misterhouse-users] Code_select.pl and authorization Hmmm, when you click 'log in as admin', do you a web page that has this on it: admin password accepted If not, what do you see? Maybe you have not set the admin password? Here are a few lines from install.*: To enabled password protection, run mh/bin/set_password command like this: set_password -user family -password xyz1 set_password -user admin -password xyz2 Note: only the first 8 characters are used. The admin password is required for controling the mh web setup menus (e.g. item and code selection menus). Bruce -----Original Message----- Hi All, I have a memory that this was discussed before here, but I can't find it presently. I am wanting to enable some code in the common directory and I am using the link http:localhost:8080/bin/code_select.pl to get to the page. It shows all the check boxes as disabled and that I am logged in as family. I click to log in as admin, but it never does get me log in as admin. My .ini file has the password_client=127.0.0.1 (and my local ip net, but this doesn't help. What do I need to do to get this to work properly? !DSPAM:40802c6b152186458914238! ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
