Here is something I got off the TINI mail-list. We have developed 1-wire compatible electric watt-hour meters we will be marketing directly to specific vertical markets and are interested in seeing if the Dallas Semiconductor Developer community would have any interest in this product. This product is essentially a watt-hour meter built right into a small extension cord so you can quickly plug it into any circuit and accurately monitor the energy usage. We use a DS2423 to keep track of the cumulative usage in 0.1 watt-hour increments and have twin RJ11 connectors with standard 1-wire pin outs for connectivity. We will also be releasing models that utilize external current transformers for the input that could be retrofitted to larger circuits up to 200 amps.
