one more thing... the Leopard cannot browse the internet or do anything other than it's own automation.. I cannot send it a command to display a picture or text on it's screen. it is a self contained home automation system/controller in it's own Mister house just add's features to it as a slave to the leopard. basically take everything that MH does except for the web/mp3 playback and speech. and squish it into a self contained machine that is 6" by 6" by 1 inch with a touchscreen and the ability to have much more analog and digital imputs while also having the ability to have a 17 zone IR transmit/recieve system. it's not cheap... the Leopard is $799.00USD while the Ocelot is $200.00USD approx. with the I/O modules around $99.00 to $200.00 depending on features and design. (the 8 high current relay module with X10 in.out is $200.00) the ocelot can be controlled by a Pronto quite easily.. many of the guys on the cpuxa mailing list use them with their leopards and ocelots. -----Original Message----- From: Carl Bromberg [mailto:bro...@pa...] Sent: Wednesday, December 04, 2002 3:04 PM To: mis...@li... Subject: [misterhouse-users] Re: More on where MH fits in. Hi Tim: The Leopard screens shown on their site look like simplified versions of Pronto screens. You can hold the Pronto in your palm. No serial port on the pronto; you need an IR, RF, or a combination interface to MH. If anyone is interested in what you can do with the Pronto, check out http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/files/rcfiles.cgi?area=pronto. Is there a corresponding Leopard site? I'd like to look at it, as I might want a touch screen or two. I think I've missed the Audry boat.
