I'm a network security guy; it's the ethernet cables outside the house that would bother me. But like I said, that just creates a mental block about running cables outside. I also live in Toronto; external cables tend to break in the winter (my TV cable needs to be replaced roughly once per decade, even though they use stuff designed to be frozen).
