I was using a STAMP to interface with a DS1621 for temperature sensors until I started using iButtons. I was also using the same stamp to monitor door contacts so that I could have MH log activity and announce it at times when there wasn't suppose to be any door activity. However, I needed a speaker controller so that I could select which speakers MH would announce to so since I was now using iButtons for temperature sensing, I turned the stamp into a PA control system. Unfortunately I think I may have destroyed it in the process. I used it quite some time but had som problems when I would cut in multiple speakers at the same time. I was feeding the 5V stamp output into a ULN2803 (darlington array on an IC) to drive the speaker relays and I think it may have been loading the stamp too much (oh well...). But I found that the stamp worked great with MH. When using it with the sensors, I wrote a little priority polling mechanism that would monitor the doors and temp sensors and report everything back to MH. That way I could just add more events and set their polling priority to determine how often the event was reported. Jeff H. > Message: 10 > From: "David T.
