Just a comment: because WinEdt isn't LinEdt yet (though, hopefully, one day that will change), I haven't used teTeX under Linux for some time now, so what I can say will only be sketchy and may be off the mark. Anyway, since MiKTeX is regularly updated (and, as I recall, teTeX is not and is also not as complete) and its wizard is now rather efficient, you might want to consider still using it for your Linux setup. You can do one of two things: 1. copy the MiKTeX directory structure(s) over to your Linux partition; 2. keep the MiKTeX directory structure(s) on your Windogs partition. In either case you will then need to tell teTeX where to look, but that's rather simple, as I recall. Also, since most of the MiKTeX news group discussions are NOT actually MiKTeX specific, you might want to stay with us anyway. Cheers, Phil Ratcliffe |
